SAFFC set up clash with Tampines in semi-final

SAFFC booked their spot in the semi-finals of the RHB Singapore Cup by beating league leaders Super Reds 3-0 at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium for a 4-1 aggregate win.

Evergreen Aleksandar Duric’s header off the corner given the Warriors the early advantage in the fifth minute. Therdsak Chaiman’s thurderbolt would have doubled the lead if not for Kang Su Ho’s tip for the corner before the interval.

The second goal eventually did come in the 57th minute, when Joo Ki Hwan haplessly scored an own goal from a Shaiful Esah’s curling free kick from the right.

Duric scored his second of the night in the 86th minute from close range to set up a semifinal grudge match against last year’s other finalists Tampines Rovers.
